Going ahead with its network expansion, J&K Bank today dedicated a fully computerized Business Unit (B.U) to public at GoleGujral, Jammu.
Political Advisor to Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana inaugurated the B.U in presence of Bank's President and Zonal Head Jammu (Central) O P Sharma, Vice President Arvind Gupta and a large gathering of esteemed customers and public.
Addressing the gathering Rana said, "J&K Bank is the pride of our state. It is the corporate face of J&K with one of the best human resource marching ahead successfully under the dynamic leadership of its Chairman Mushtaq Ahmed”.
Recalling his long association with the Bank he lauded the Bank’s evolution in the last two decades to become one of the strongest and safest banks in the country.
He appreciated the commitment of the bank to reach every nook and corner of the state and bring everyone under its fold.
He further said that "This is a great opportunity for the people of area to avail all the financial services offered by the Bank and take full advantage of employment generation schemes like SKEWPY and Kissan Credit Cards."
Speaking on the occasion Zonal Head said, "Our mission is to provide end-to-end financial solutions through fastest modes even to the poorest of poor and to reach out to those still outside formal channels of financing.
The bank is determined to increase its reach in the state by opening new B.U’s and installing more and more ATMs, he added.
During the last year, he said, 15 new B.U’s and 35 ATMs were opened in the zone, besides, 217 units established under SKEWPY in the zone.
The performance under Kissan Credit Cards has also been encouraging as 10000 Kissan Credit Cards have been issued to beneficiaries out of a half yearly target of 13000 cards.
